RE: lost of power
This is probably the best engine tuning guide out there. It should be a sticky on all nitro forums.

RE: lost of power
When I backed mine off half a turn, I just smoked the slipper clutch. I just leave them tight or about an 1/8th off. Which truck do you have? A 49 would be slower than a 47. B

RE: lost of power
A 4.6 should have plenty of wheelie power with a 47 on it. If you drop too much tire speed, you cannot maintain a long wheelie, unless you are doing the balancing act. I am a wheelie addict too, you think I would get over it. I think given your tune is right, your slipper is probably too loose. This one is an [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMGQq1sd9Jc&feature=related]STS[/link] 30 with the slipper cranked tight, running ProLine Bowtie tires and I think it was an 18/47 gear. B

RE: truck move slowly
I can already tell you the prob, as I just hit the same issue. The 49t uses the dual slipper set-up, which can't be tightened all the way on your 4.6 without removing the copper washer from the 47T spur gear and using it as a spacer. If you didn't do that, it's impossible to tighten the 49T spur at all. Use the spacer, and tighten it ALL the way. You need to do that to make-up for the backplate you're missing. If you plan on using this method permanently, and want to adjust the slipper correctly, you'll want to get the backplate that is to be used with the dual-slipper system, part number 86802. I am told however that there isn't a problem running it the way we're doing it even with it tightened all the way down; I'm thinking it still gives a little due to the back washer. See my thread I just posted about this.
