Default gearing

Hey everyone, I just was out bashing until a stripped spur cut it short, not quite sure if the cb overheated but there's about 3 teeth missing. Well my question is, does anyone know if 47/18 gearing will work? (95% sure, just checking) I had a 49t in, but all tower stocks is 47 right now. Thanks

if only 3 teeth are missing, chances are it was just a hard hit.

18/47 is fine, if you have a hi-po 28+ engine, but even with my SH 28 P3, 18/47 was too tall. 17/49 is the sweet spot for most sport engines.

While you got the truck apart, upgrade to a 17t clutchbell (the vented one) and aluminum clutch shoes, and you should be straight.

ok, in that case I'd stick with 18 teeth.
