I do it on my Dodges....

the engine runs cool and is well protected inside that huge cab!
My first glow fuel car was a Cox Dune Buggy in about 1968, my latest model is an Ofna DM-1. I have burned up a decent retirement in nitro fuel....

Use a rotary tool and pretty much any bit like a grinding stone or whatever. Just grind away slowly until you get the proper results. Then use some kind of steel black fine mesh to make a grill.

I used a drammel tool (same as a rotary tool). And i used door screen to make the grill, I also used RTV silicone to glue the screen on let it dry over night and your good to go i hope this helps here some pics.

I used some plastic canvas mesh you find at hobby lobby in the craft or sewing dept. Comes in all differant colors

Here is a bed cover i made for my 1/10 scale i used to have. Works good for grills , windows ect.
