Freddy,

Dont go for teh roll bar and motor guard that Hghfly got. He bought it without knowing how strong it would be but since he has it he is going to use it. For about teh same money you can get the strongest roll cages made from FLM or New Era models. The one that Hghfly has is made by integy. The quality of the aluminum is very soft and will bend easily. They look good but thats about it.

I am digging it! Nice job! I also think that nylon parts like what is stock makes a better roll cage, but otherwise it looks awesome!

Thanks guys, I ran it today with all the stuff on it.IT keeps moveing when im off the throtle, even with the trim down all the way.and the brakes are serius now with the pack and the different servo.I figured things would change with the new pipe and filter ill prolly put the stock one back on.SO is the moveing issue a REtuneing thing?Or could it be when i set the different servo in place and attched the arm some how it was set leeaning more into the throtle and not centered? And this is how i did up he pipe on the arm. With those set nuts what ever there calledAnd to toomany..i will be getting that other newera cage asap.they have em at the lhs

New pipe and filter will need a slight re-tune...richer IIRC.

You should have made sure that you put the arms back on the servos just like they were because that may be part of the problem of it going a little. It's also probably going by itself because it may be too lean, so richen it up some.

If it keeps moving at idle then your idle is too high or you are too lean. Take the filter off and look down the carb. You should only have about 1mm open. If it looks to be about 1mm then you are too lean. Richen it up till idle drops. The easiest way to wear the clutch shoes is still being engaged at idle.

so now with the pipe and stuff that would change the idle? I never messed with is since ive had it. im gonna try to set the HSN back to stock and go from there then if that doesnt do it ill go to the idel.

TO: prjtstreet,
I did lift the arms straight up in place and placed in the new servo and pop the arms back on but maybe i was alil off.So could i lift the arms again and center the servo and then reset em?

This is the way that I center my steering servo: I put the truck on it's passenger side, take off center skid-plate if there is one, take of/install new servo, turn receiver and radio on, center the steering adjustments, put the servo horn on the steering as straight as possible, install screw on servo horn, and reinstall everything.

after adding a pipe and high air flow filter would that cause it to keep rideing off when im off the trottle with the trim down all the way. So i need to adjust the idel?

You are probably too lean for the conditions. Richen it up and the motor won't have such a constant high RPM from being lean and it won't engage and stay engaged at pointless times.

Watch this [link=http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=BJFsJAxNoRg]tuning video[/link] from our friends at Hpi. I read all the time people posting to go back to stock settings. We all know the stock settings are way too rich. I guess I just do not understand what we gain by going back to the factory settings if we are close enough to get the engine started and running.

Another Hpi [link=http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=oSmMzpZM_As&feature=related]tuning video[/link], they are both excellent and the guy does a great job of describing the settings and what they do. Glen
