RE: K&N Air filter Oil?
Not sure, but don't be cheap, get a bottle of oil that costs only a few dollars that is designed for these filters...although the K&N may work, but I'd rather use the "real" stuff.

RE: K&N Air filter Oil?
Any air filter oil will work as long as it traps dirt before it gets to the engine....its not going to ruin the engine because if you've oiled the filter properly, then the oil should never even reach the engine. (same goes for your K&N filter) So go light on the oil.

If you think about it, the old briggs lawn mower engines just used SAE 30wt oil on their foam air filters for years and it worked well.
