RE: SAVAGE POWER !
stock gearing that is... i'd say 70 with castles 2650 kv motor and 3s along with the optional 43t spur and some good tires for the job,
doesn't the 4.6 rtr come with 2 CB's a 16 and a 18??? i dunno what one is stock but the 18 over the 16 would be a nice big boost in topend...
a revo 3.3 can do low to mid 40's tops...
the lug

RE: SAVAGE POWER !
The Revo 3.3 and Savage X 4.6 RTR are just about dead on with top speed (Savage tested at 44mph and REVO at 45mph). However, in my experience drag racing my brother-in-law (mine is the 3.3, his is the 4.6), the REVO is just a bit quicker in acceleration. This was at factory stock gearing. They really are pretty close though. Savage is such a tank, while the Revo is so nimble.

RE: SAVAGE POWER !
My rtr Savage X only came with a 17 cb. I changed to a 19, to control the wheelies. And now I have a Revo eating... only wheelies when I want..... insane top speed, MONSTER!!!!!

RE: SAVAGE POWER !
the savage x 4.6 is an all-around better truck than the revo.......for bashing
for track racing, if you want to keep the truck mostly stock, the revo needs less mods to race well than the savage does.

RE: SAVAGE POWER !
ThunderbirdJunkie's F4.1 powered stock Savage X with 16/49 gearing, a crappy pipe, and a good clutch outran Revo and T-maxx 3.3s all day long.
the drastic improvement in power to the F4.6 just means that 3.3s are rod-and-bearing puking slow terds now
