How do you like the punch control at 90%?

It's good for me. A little less power from start, but then again...it prolongs the driveline (I am just using 4S). I tried 60%, too powerful for my taste. You can notice that I am taming all the settings to the lowest as much as possible. Wheelies and backflips are all good at first, but it gets old in the end.

You are going to use 6S, right? Are you going to remain at 30% PC?

I've been using 6S since the beginning! Up until recently, it was 6S at 0% punch......way too out of control. At 30% it's better. I really need to tweak the throttle curve because I want to be able to keep the throttle floored for at least 3 seconds. More than 1 second at a time is about the best it can do without dumping over. LOL.

Did some tweaks and upgraded the firmware. The truck is much less of an out of control missle now. Good times!

I see that you are using the stock radio set. Don't you experience any glitching?

What voltage does it show on your LiPos after the auto LiPo cut off kicks in?

It glitches some...nothing that would make me worry. As for the auto lipo, it automatically detects the 6S and sets the cutoff accordingly. Next time I drain the packs, I'll pay attention to what the voltage is because I have no clue what it is. LOL

edit-turns out the previous version of the software set the autolipo to 3.0v. Have since raised it to 3.5v after updating software.

I use zero dragbrake, 0% punch with 4s, will be using 50% with 6s (finalllly got my zippys after 2 months backorder). I disable reverse because I'm hardcore like that, and I like a linear throttle curve. The smoother you are, the longer the diffs last.

DANNYS FLUX TIP... want to see more useable power??? Set your rear suspension to firm, and raise the rear to the maximum. Set your front suspension to low and put a reciever pack in the box. Voila.. your front will stay more planted instead of the rear bucking down as much on acceleration. You could also put a roll of quaters and strap it to the back of the front bumper Seriously.

I put a 2.5lb dumbbell on the front of mine and it STILL dumped over when I pegged the throttle....at speed. LOL

When HPI, Traxxas etc do speed runs to advertise for their cars they fail to mention that they strap the fronts down with 1-2 pounds depending on vehicle to get the front end to make power.

Yeah, they kinda leave that little detail out. LOL. Enjoy those Zippys.....they are worth the wait. I just got an email saying more 3S 4000s are in stock. Time to place another order because I love these things. If they are in stock, they arrive at your door in a week. Cannot beat that. Later

I got the Flightmax zippy 5000s over the zippy H because it is 30C/ 45c burst. I have heard mixed reviews so I'll find out tomorrow when I pick up some deans female connectors. I'm crossing my fingers because I hear the customer service sucks balls.

Dunno what you heard, but the packs are great. I never have had to deal with their customer service, but considering they are halfway around the globe in another country, yeah, I guess you could expect some issues. LOL. Anyways, I buy the Zippys that come with the Deans already on them and cannot say anything bad about them at all. The fit in the boxes, charge fast, and now that I have toned the ESC down, the run times are well over 30 minutes before it hits the cutoff.

There is a new revision on Castle Link.

http://www.castlecreations.com/downl...mamba_max.html

Anyone updating?

Is there any way of just updating the one you have already in your computer rather than downloading the whole thing again?

Already got it and flashed into the esc. Just click the update button on your Castlelink gui (what you see when you open the program.) It will update the software if updates are available. Then simply plug in your ESC, click on the new firmware version and send it to your truck. Simple.

I was doing that update, it is saying...there are no currently no new updates available.

Were you able to see these new options in the castle link?

•Added ability to turn off the power-on reminder beep

•Added ability to reverse motor direction by Castle Link software

I think you need to download and install a new version of the castle link software, but I am not sure. I am gonna try it later.

Wow, took me some few attempts (darn vsita), but I was able to update my link and firmware. The auto-cut off - per cell drop down tab is a nice touch.

Good new exerybody. Castle link finally works on 64bit OS's. I just installed it succusfully, updated my monsters firmaware, and messed with settings in Windows 7 64 beta (build 7000). This means it should also work in vista 64. Until now, I have had to use my laptop to change settings. Now I can use my desktop too. I am not sure what 4wdmt's problem was, but it worked for me on the first try. Make sure you run the installer as administrator, like the website says in big bold letters if you are running vista (or windows 7)

Also, does anybody know how to use the new graph viewer? It looks liek a cool feature, but I am not sure how to use it. Does the monster always log data when running, or do you need to be connected while running to log the data (not sure how that would get wired up). I haven't ran my truck since i got the new firmware (waiting on some parts), so I just wanted to know if anyone has used the graph succesfully.

Got new pics of my setup with the latest software. Truck runs flawless and I don't even notice any runtime loss with the lipos set at 3.5v vs the previous 3.0v. I kept the beep on just so I remember to shut the truck off. lol
