Preview video of some of today's fun..
[link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7uXRK3rVFI]Two shocks, a NovaRossi carburetor main needle[/link], bent cooling head fins.... chains are tough customers! My son and his friend stopped by on their way back to college. More video to come, this was an awesome cartwheel though...

HAHAHHA, OMG, That is Funny.
It reminds me of the parking scene in Ace Ventura, when the jeep does that roll
and parks in the parking bay...
Edit: Heres a video of the Parking scene - [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPM7ugLeXhY]Video[/link]

This was from a collision with another XL, broken lower control arm, two bent shocks, broken upper control arm, bent hinge pin, lost dogbone.... They have both been fixed and are ready to rip again!

It might have, I think it caught the chain on the back side of the rollbar or carry handle, it probably would have drive that chain in there anyway. I had a spare NovaRossi carburetor off of a 21 and stole the main needle tube out of it. I have a couple of spare heads too, some generous members scarred theirs and replaced them with Nova Heads, they were kind enough to donate theirs to the salvage yard. Video is saving now...

I like the .30, my son was running it today and it was running good, it died an early death from a pretty hard smack.... that will be on the next video. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anybody. It is strong, it gives up some top end to the Picco, but it is nice not having to worry about carburetor gremlins. Mine is still fighting itself a little, I think, the sleeve and piston are very tight in this one. You have to be really careful to stay on the rich side. I know he wants to take it to college with him.

hey glen , have you clocked it yet ?
hey glen , have you clocked it yet ?
After destroying a two speed yesterday breaking in this engine, I replaced it with another used one and went out to burn some more fuel. The truck was clocked at 39 mph, not bad for an XL, 16/52 gear, in grass and with a two speed. The power is looking better, I have a tendency to try to run too lean on the low speed needle. I am sure we will come to a mutual playing field one of these days!
I even put on some new brakes!

I am really happy with mine so far, but like yours the pinch is still tight...
I am running on the side of caution and still really rich for now....

The engine is fine, it suffered no damage, just the truck. I have more Savage parts than the average guy could imagine.... boxes full of parts and a couple of drawers in my toolbox as well.

The one that hit the chain was, the other truck was a two speed. I run high speed three speeds all the time, it is the final drive that I keep blowing in the three speed...
