Default Hot Clutch?

One of my Piccos had been kind of weak in the low end. The shoes looked great, everything seemed normal, so I decided to just put a new clutch in it. When I removed the shoes, the pins on the flywheel had been hot enough they turned blue. Not sure what the cause was, but I changed everything out and all is well again. Glen

Not normally, thise were Mugen shoes, see the little washer circles? I do not run them on Hpi shoes, normally not on Mugen shoes on Hpi flywheels either, but yeah, they were on this one.

Hey Glen, when you pry one of the shoes up with your finger, does it spring back into position by itself or do you have to push it back? I noticed that 2/3 of my shoes I had to push back down...is that normal?

Your shoes should spring right back into place on their own. Sounds like you have problems.

hmmm I thought so. I may have stretched two of them a little while installing them. Oh well, I'll replace them soon enough.
