I've never used trinity, but I did switch from losi nitrotane to byrons in one of my rc's and I noticed a huge difference in performance as well as a drop in engine temps......

Having used both, you will never use Trinity again. IMO Trinity is horrible or I just got a bad gallon.[:@] Bryon performs better and cheaper.

I guess since were talking fuel, I run Blue Thunder HP8. It has ony 8% oil, and the oil is made up of 6% caster 2% synthetic.

That BT P8 sounds good. Just hope it doesn't leave that blue stain. I know Byron Race and ProDriver fuels are 50/50 caster/synthetic. But I have used Traxxas, Trinity Platinum 20%, Nitrotane Race 20%, ODonnell Race 20%, and Byron ProDriver 30%, and BY FAR Byron is the best. Very cool temps, great power, and easy to tune.

Byron's Gen 2 Race Fuel in 30 percent is awesome stuff. I have burned many gallons of it and love it. Your will probably find your truck is way too rich on Byron's. When I switch from Trinity to Byron's, I noticed that the Byron's must flow a lot easier. Glen

Seeing as Glen is seemingly the most knowledgable person on rcuniverse I am really glad to hear his opinion on Byrons. In fact, I came to the forum just now to post a question about Byrons, and found this thread. Kudos to everyone for their input and once again, Glen, you're leading me in the right direction around every turn.

BTW - where is the cheapest place, aside of eBay, to buy a ZR.30?

What unit are you in, and where are you stationed? We've got some "nasty" personnel here on Ft. Hood that just got their MOB orders. I am looking for people in the Ft. Hood area to bash with...

[EDIT]
I am about to post looking for people in my area...

That is where I bought both of mine. Free shipping over 150 dollars and if you are a member, 199 dollar order gets a 25 dollar discount. Glen

byrons is the way to go. 30% was my mix and i never had any trouble. i even used some stuff that was realy old, like, over a year just sitting. always had excellent performance.

it turned the top of my piston yellow though........

Switching from 20 to 30%, should I change the type of plugs I am using? Will a medium plug be OK or should I go to a medium cold?

Your current plug choice should be fine. You will have to tune a little bit to get it right on but everything else in your setup will work great.
