im new to the savage xl, what are some main mods i can make?
hi,,
i just bought myself a new savage xl, and i was wondering what mods i can make to make it better, i had a baja b5 ss, and it was tricked out, but the engine blew recently and decided to buy a savage, so i would really appreciate any help

Shim the diffs.

Also install the engine protector.

Throttle servo and possibly steering servos.
I would do the throttle servo first.

The OFNA throttle link mod, the mid-tank mod for the half-lean problem, etc. Tons of different mods that people have done, just look through the forums.

30% Nitro and a 086 pipe. The pipe will give you more top end and make the engine run cooler.

Not really no. You're probably better off with an 086 or 053 pipe though with an LRP .30 or Picco .28. Aluminum clutch shoes are an upgrade too.
