Hi guys,
Ive got a 086 pipe I want to put in my Savage X, how do yu secure the pipe to the chassis? Im familiar with buggies where there is small metal piece that holds an L shaped piece of metal that secures the pipe to the chasis, thanks!

If your X has the stock black plastic pipe you need this http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXUWK2&P=Z Then get a wire clothes hanger cut a piece off and bend it like this http://www.rcuniverse.com/gallery/ga...1%26pageon%3D3 [sm=shades_smile.gif]

Maybe it was just me then I dont know, yeah it hit the back shock, it seems too round to be able to fit between the engine and rear shock tower, got pics of yours? I will try to do some pics later on and get them up here...

RE: 086 on Savage X
Ok, update, It does fit, its not too long as I initially thought but have a new problem, the part of the header that goes onto the engine exhaust rubber gasket is a round shape, with a flat part that usually coincides with the bottom of the gasket therefore it fits perfectly on left sided exhaust cars that have engines with rotostart plates or pullstarts, PROBLEM, the savage has a right sided exhaust so in order to get the exhaust on the right I have to flip over the header and it wont fit on the engine with the rotostart backplate because of the flat part now being on top... Solution?
Have you ground down the roundness to flat with a dremel or something?

Thats exactly what you do nesal. You will also have to redrill holes for the exhaust springs. Now just remember when you put the pipe on the pressure nipple will be facing towards the TVP's. I had no problem fitting mine There is a gap between the nipple and tvp of about a 1/8 to a 1/4 of a inch once the pipe is installed. Yeah it makes it kinda difficult to get to the pressure line........ but it works.

Yeah I forgot about that I had to grind down the roto back plate down a little but I didn't have to re drill the spring holes [sm=shades_smile.gif]
