Default help savage 25 wont start doesnt suck fuel

Hi
My savage doesn't want to suck fuel even when i put my finger on the exhaust end and start it with roto start. What can I do?
Also what do air bubbles in fuel pipe indicate?
I'm new to rc models so please be understanding.

Thank you for your help!

Maybe the fuel lines are reversed?

i have had to actually pull off the line from the muffler and blow on it to get it primed try that and see what happens

Air bubbles mean one thing AIR LEAK check the lines (I would put new ones on) the tank, and the Oring on the tank cap [sm=shades_smile.gif]

And just for FYI it doesn't suck fuel the exhaust presser pushes the fuel to the carb [sm=shades_smile.gif]

No. It does suck fuel. The tanks are pressurized only to augment this.

If the motors been sitting for a while with fuel in it, it may be clogged with oil. Try pulling the glow plug and the fuel line from the carb and blow some compressed air through it while rotating the flywheel then try it again.

Well ok it sucks fuel form the carb into the crankcase but with out exhaust presser it will run supper lean and stop running. Do you agree? [sm=shades_smile.gif]

carb/brake cleaner from a auto store works wonders on cleaning nitro engines
and its damn cheap (well at least in the states)

i have an s25 engine from hpi and if it sat without attention i noticed that even when using after run the high speed and low speed needles along with the inside of the carb will get surface rust. and that in turn will clog up fuel passages. it is best to have it cleaned out or you can clean it yourself. you have to remove the carb to clean it.then disassemble the carb and clean it thoroughly. stuf you can use to cean it with is: some use wd40, some use brakleen, i use la awsome degreaser and a toothbrush, then rinse well with water(hot) and dry it well( a hair dryer woks well for drying as it heats it up enough to evap water in spots you can't get to). after you clean i would a little after run oil to lube the slide portion of the carb. then reassemble the carb and return to default settings. if you don't have your manual, let me know, i have the pdf with all the info.

Cheers guys, I just decided yesterday to get my Savage going again after 7 months of it sat around. I had this exact problem with it not getting fuel into the carb, after a few unlucky mouthfuls of Nito Fuel I managed to get it running and it's perfect!

I have a question I have a savage 25 and this is gonna sound crazy but ok it runs great but there is this problem I can't figure out an it's the vent fuel line from the cap on the gas tank to the muffler when the vent line is pluged in to the muffler like it says it's supposedto be in the manual when I run it it's like runs good but it is like real slow and like it has a govener and it won't open up like it's supposed to but if i take the vent fuel line off the muffler and just let it hang then drive it it's like bad ass and it will fly but it's like word cus the muffler is supposed to push fuel to the carb but it's like it's not and to answer yalls questionsbeforeyou even ask yes the muffler is clean and is not clogged up nothing is wrong with the fuel lines or motor or tank or muffler I have tore it all down and cleaned it out pleaee help me

well should make a new thread as most people read the 1st post, and ignore the rest.

but sounds like your tune is off, and it might be getting too much fuel into the engine bogging it down.
hard to say without a video
