Just close your eyes for a second and imagine.....
this http://www.hpieurope.com/kit-info.ph...101400&lang=en in 1/8th scale.....a flat chassis Savage! Looks like this "stadium truck" ahem, is really just a smaller, flat chassis Savage without a transmission. Will HPI give us an 8th scale version of this as the next generation Savage or is this going to be something that stays as it is? They are also offering it in nitro and BL versions. Stay tuned, this could get interesting. And if it matters any, HPI, I would buy one if you made it 8th scale.

It has a nice body. 4wd stadium trucks are always welcome.
If the price is right, I might pick one up.
Any word on when it's going to make its way to the USA?

I like the looks of that truck, however, I like the TVP chassis on the savage a lot. I hope they stick with it. Heck, it you want a flat chassis go buy an LST2, MGT, T-Maxx, Revo or something like that.

Why would I want to imagine a flat chassis Savage? The tvp design is why I bought my Savage in the first place. Like Cummings Driver said there are already enough flat chassis trucks out there to choose from. Plus I like to hear my Savage shift gears so I wouldn't want one without a transmission but that's just my 2 cents worth.

I agree, the TVP design is what sets the savage apart from the others. It's the main reason I chose the savage over other trucks. I wouldn't buy a flat chassis savage.

Its a rebadged HotBodies lightning 10 Stadium http://www.hotbodiesonline.com/kit.p...No=66501〈=en
Its a ST with giant tires slapped on it. Theres also going to be a "MT" version with taller tires and a different body slapped on it (saw it in a promo someone scanned and posted few months back)
The Brushless one looks nice in my eyes though
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9340493/tm.htm link to thread that had all variants in the ad
In europe it seems they discontinued the current MT2 and are going to replace it with this.
I only hope HPI decideds to do parts support longer than they did with the lightning and other new models they abandoned after a year.

I'd love to have flat chassis Savage. Either way, TVP or flat, the Savage is due for a makeover. lol

i dont think i could see hpi giving the savage a make over... to many people know monster truck rc beeing a savage or traxxas... simply because you open a magazine main trucks you see savage or tmaxx sometimes a revo... open a atv magazine such as dirtwheels you see savage or tmaxx.... they will not change this because they sell to many of them the way they are..... they will just keep improving them such as savage 21, savage 25, savage X, savage Xss, and now savage XL, not to mention electric savage... savage will be here for a while... If you want a flat chasis buy a tmaxx revo lst2... savage is one of a kind with tvp..

Im not so sure the savage needs a makeover unless they decide to do the bulletproof differentials and the gearing to match from the factory, and possibly better brakes. Thats about the only small gripe i would even have with the savage. Its kind of like the traxxas stampede IMO. Its been around for years without many big changed simply because it doesent need any[8D]

actually IMO the MT2 didn't need the bullet to be its replacement. from my experience with it the MT2 is very versatile easy to work on and has some room for crazy changes (like a K5.9 on it, and yes there were a few people that did that) where I doubt half the mods would fit on the bullet
Sure the Bullet/lightning Stadium is a great truck but I don't see it as needed. And honestly I see HPI dropping support fast seeing I doubt it will sell much due to 1/10th Nitro ST's being in somewhat low demand.
Now the brushless one might survive seeing it seems people want 1/10th brushless 4wd ST's seeing not many exist

This new truck from HPI will be offered in Flux and Nitro versions. It's going to be wicked fast if they put the MMM in it.

In a 1/10th scale? I doubt it. I would not be surprised it if is 4800/5700 motor with the rebadged sidewinder; maybe a MMP rebadged if you are lucky.

Uh this is in no way the replacement for the savage. it's 1/10 all the way - 12mm hubs and whatnot.

when I saw it I was like WOW 8 SHOCKS
than after I thought about it 8 shocks is overkill on a ST that 99% chance weighs the same as a HPI MT2 Which only uses 4
