i just turnd my savage to the xl savage but i'm thinking of getting the 3 speed trany is it a big
difference on the porformence or do i stay with the 2 speed let me know what you think thanks

the 2 speed has been proven more durable under high power motors, so it depends on what you're running

okay but wil it get more top end or mak fasr r slower i will be put a os 30vg on it but know i got the hpi .25

unless you are running flat out a long distance then stick with the 2 speed, I bash my savvy's around my track and construction sites, so I took the 3 spd out and put it up as a backup.

You can make a big speed change with the CB and spur combo's, and wheel choice.

Wow thats a good question, its been several years since I changed the spur combo I don't remember, set it and forget it thing. I will check tomorrow when I go out to my shop.
