There is no "faster"... There is a reason why both exist and are used in the auto industry....

4wd- More traction, pushes harder on turns, less top end, more drivetrain power loss, more parts and the possibility 2 fail.
2wd- ^ Not that....

A bit faster yes, much easier to wheelie definitely. Much more abusive on the rear diff and a big loss of brake power. In a pinch if you only have the parts to make it 2WD while you wait for parts its fine but for all around use not the best idea IMO.

About the only time I would run 2wd is if you had a set of agressive paddle tires on the rear. Like the ones that are made for the hpi b5 or t5.

yeah with a savage you really feel the lack of 4wd and you really need it to run these properly

I forgot to mention that when in 2wd you have very little control over the truck when jumping, impossible to correct a bad position that will lead to a bad crash.

only thing that will be faster in all truth is the speed you replace that rear diff, and the engine

LOL.. Completely untrue, sure its easier to break traction on 2wd and be tempted to hold it wide open, but only the user dictates how much damage can be done to the engine..
