They seem pretty cool but I have never used them.

i am sure if you know a good seemstress, they could knock one up for you in no time.

just need to get the fabric sample (lyrca) and measure to size and design a durable yet easy cord securing design to keep the cover over the filter element.

this may sound weird ,but go to a dollar store and buy a box of ladys nylons for a couple bucks and you got at least a years supply of filter covers!all you got to do is cut to size and use rubberband to hold on.it works great, even repells water.

My bash buddy runs outerwears covers on all of his rides and they work great... I just got one combined in a used engine purchase, but yeah I'd think nylons would work as well

The filter covers in your link appear to be very loose,

i got this type fitted to my savage
http://cgi.ebay.com/Blue-Nitro-Engin...item439cd05322

it fits real snug over the plastic ends of the airfilter, its held in place with a cable tie at each end,

the cable tie is threaded through a continious loop on each end of the filter cover,

been running mine for about a year now and the foam filter has stayed clean without needing cleaned for this time,

the fabric is very breathable and does not restrict airflow to the engine,

The company Outwears is the way to go for covers. I use them on baja.

on my traxxas slayer (i know its not a savage) i have got a big aerosol lid about 15-20mm bigger drilled a hole in the top and put my filter in it that helps a lot to keep water and dirt off it without restricting airflow oh and it was free
