1st one is my Savage X has RPM arms, skid, integy tank guard, HPI stop button all installed. Shocked the body looks so nice in that pic seeing its actually scratched to high hell and has a few cracks. I'm not a fan of the body as I've almost lost the rear bumper a few times. Next body will be a truck body none of these tape this part on BS.
2nd is my Savage .21 to electric conversion(hell it was cheaper than a flux and way more fun to make it). That body currently is for show. Once I get it to stop flipping from tapping the throttle I will use it. The test phase body (What came with it) has alot of cracks running through it.

Notched306... I like the traction I get out of those Losi tires and wheels, but they slaughter Savage shocks.

Here is an XL playing in fresh snow on a skating rink...

Here is an XL with a Picco 27 messing around in gravel and water....

Here is a Savage XL with LRP 30 climbing a ground up concrete pile....

Here is a Savage XL with Picco 28 making high speed passes on concrete...

Here is a stock XL with K5.9 pulling deep grass....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yH9za...eature=related

Pure stock K5.9, that did not last long! Did have a Mega Cab body though.

Savage XL with Picco 28 and Megacab, 086 pipe visiting the 'shrooms and later the ATV park..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ozozlgcw8Ss

Savage X with Picco 28, just a stock 28 with an 086 pipe, putting on power show...

As far as mods go, I like the Golden Horizons throttle pivot, brushless Futaba throttle servos, brushless steering servos with titanium gears. I have tried LCG chassies, aftermarket A arms, very little aluminum, prefer stock shocks as they are cheap, like 086 pipes, followed by 053 pipes, prefer wheel bearing grease in the rear differentials, like to run XL bones and axles in my X trucks, which about requires the Flux or XL differentials.... I tried a ton of tire and wheel combinations and like the Dirt Bonz on Losi wheels or Terra Pins on stock wheels best. I used to run the Savage 21/25 tires all the time, but they will not hang with the faster trucks. I tear the sidewalls out of the tires.

In the Savage world, the stock XL chassis is not bad, tires, wheels, shocks, I like the heavier Pro Line bodies as I can rip an Hpi body apart in one day's running.

A lot of guys were bragging up the cv style axles, I never could keep the ones available for the Savage together. Glen

thanks man. just has big tires. no suspension mods have been made. idk what i wanna do to it next. I wanted a three speed but after reading budbuds post of the final drive gears breakin, im gonna keep the 2 speed. Its fast enough for me. Thinkin about changin the stock gear ratios a little. idk to what though. has47/17 right now.
