Flux Owners... How much runtime do you get?

Hey guys. Im just wondering how much run time you normally get with some moderate bashing from two 2s 5000mah LiPo's. My MGT is about the same weight as the Flux, but with a different brushless system, so im just trying to figure out what kind of runtime I could expect from 5000mah LiPo's. Trying to decide if I want to buy 2 or 4 lipo's for it.

I can get about 30 minutes on good 3000mah NiMh batteries as long as I dont run it wide open all the time. Thanks

Eric

When new, my 6000mah 28C 2s SMC lipos lasted over 30 minutes with good amount of full throttle runs, but they started to down to 20 mins or less due to my careless usage of them. My turnigy 5200mah 30c 2s lipos last about 10 minutes with lots of throttle and around 15 with moderate throttle usage.

my 5800mAh 2S turnigy lipos last anywhere from 40 to 25 minuteshighly dependent on how I'm driving. Of course breaking things cuts my run time way down.

personally i would get 4 batts that way when one set runs out you can put them on the charger and still have a set to run while the others are charging (duel charger or even 2 chargers would cut down one your charging time for this) i would get like 25 to 30 minutes on my 5000mah packs depending on my driving but once out i would have to home cause its like a 2 hour charge time (one charger to batts) so it wasn't good to go to my favorite bash site. so i would just get 4 if you can 3 sets would be even better if you can get them cheap enough or can afford it.

dunno how harsh your winter is, maybe for the winter only order one set, then snag another a bit before spring? I really want another set of batts, but I'm holding off till spring :)

I get about 20 mins. out of my 5000mah batts. I too want another set of batts. 2 or 3 sets would be best. 1 set is not enough. IMO

Ok, well I couldnt handle waiting any longer.

I decided i was going to order 1 set from hobbypartz while they have free shipping. I was torn between the 5000mah 2s 40c soft case, or the 2s 4000mah hard case lipo's they had. The hard case was about 2 or 3 dollars cheaper a piece and I know the soft cases are fine, but I just feel better with the hard case, so thats what I got. The capacity and C rating of the soft packs was hard to pass up though.

Anyways, I bought 2 of these:

And I bought the LiPo sack to charge in, and Ill probably store them in an old Ammo can just to be safe. Should give me 30 minutes or so of run time, and Ill order another LiPo charger and some 5000mah+ batteries from hobbyking soon. Im very anxious to see how these things perform though. My NiMh's have lost a lot of juice.

Will this thing wheelie while going 20mph now? Tell me it will! :)

Ill post up when I get them. Thanks!

Eric

3day shippings $7-8 (I ordered 2 5000mah's for one of my other RC's friday) seeing they ship from the US :D

I get around 20ish minutes off a set on a 150A 2000kv setup.

I really wanted to get a set of those 2s Nanotech as I was really impressed with the 3s but with winter coming, I'm just gonna wait it out.

I'll have to time mine when it's fixed, but seems like a long time on the 5200 2s x 2 zippys
