15 tooth clutchbell
Hello all, I bought a savage X SS roller, 4.6 (just needs a motor and TX/RX) , i am wanting to install either a f4.6 engine or a sh .28 I want be doing any hard core bashing , just weekend warrior back yard stuff ,I have a 15 tooth clutch bell, will this work for either one of these engines? and what does having a 16,17 or 18 tooth clutch bell to the affect of the truck? thanks all.

RE: 15 tooth clutchbell
That truck would have had a 17t clutchbell stock,

It should have a 47t spurgear also,

I ran a 15t spurgear on my flm extended savage with picco 28 turbo engine,

There were 2 reasons that I did this,

1. I was running cen gst differentials,
as these have a higher gear ratio than the stock savage Diffs, I used the 15t to lower the gear ratio,

2. I was also running hpi terrapins from the savage xl,

On stock wheels and stock 47t spurgear and 15t bell it will accelerate fast but will loose some top end speed,

For bashing 17/47 is the perfect balance especially with the 2 engines you mention.
