What are some of the better complete tuned pipe sets out there prices would be nice too thanks

The stock plastic pipe with the cone is a great pipe, being that it is made out of plastic. I've heard only good things about the Ofna 053 (low-end) and Ofna 086 (top-end), but I don't recall if the header will fit the short wheelbase Savage...AKA non-XL

Can someone explain that metal cone to me?

I've been wondering since I bought the truck what in the mickey mouse f*** that is.

I thought it was a fuel funnel for a while, or some sort of tool. By the sound of your post - that cone goes in the exhaust? What for?

i put the cone in my savage's exhaust and it made it a little quieter and made it have more low-end torque.

Quieter would not be a bad thing.

I'm not sure how this is possible, but my x4.6 is at least 5x louder than my freaking MGT 8.0.

One of my neighbors came outside while I was breaking in the X4.6, and it was just sitting there idling on the box getting up to temp and he was like "Dude...it sounds like someone is weed whacking in my bedroom closet. Just wanted to see w t f is going on out here."

lol, that's sig worthy!^

The cone puts restriction in the exhaust which causes more back-pressure because of where it is located. This also reduces the noise.
