Will the SC8 body fit the XL?
 

I was thinking about getting this body but don'y know if it will fit. I'm pretty sure the Slash/Slayer body fits and will go with one of those if the SC8 don't fit.

Even if it does fit, We would suggest you do not go that route.

That being said..."We" wonder if you can get the KMC wheels truck's decals separately...

I second the though on the slash/slayer body. I think it will fit as well.

Maybe, it's a "1/10" scale body where the SC8 is a "1/8" scale body.

Wheel base of a Slash/Slayer is only 323mm and 586mm long. An X's wheel base is 336mm so it might work just fine on an X, but with the XL being 395mm I'd say its a little short. According to Tower the SC8 body has a length of 647.7mm, so thats probably about a 360mm wheelbase roughly. So that might be ok on the XL. Width-wise on either definetly won't cover the tires, probably be partial coverage so might look a bit odd unless you are running truggy wheels/tires.

Personally I wish I could just get a 2" longer chassis for my XXX-T and I'd toss a Slash body on it.

Truggy wheels will not help. 1/8 buggy wheels will also look goofy at best, according to Our measurements

the proline or the slayer or slash would be cheaper . i seen one at the hobby shop and the slash body if huge biggest body on the wall . can someone post a pic of the slayer or slash on a savage put smaller wheels and we may have something

on 1/8 buggy wheels, they will still stick out past the body. Already been done measured.

I can post a pic later of my x ss with a slash body and buggy wheels. It aint gonna be pretty but whatever floats your boat.

To answer your question, yes, the SC8 body will fit the Savage. You might have to trim it to fit when the suspension is under full stuff with the larger tires, but there's no reason why it wouldn't work otherwise.

It dont look to bad with the regular sized wheels but the Buggy wheels killed it.

That actually looks really good! I like it. Throw some Badlands tires and black rims on it and you'll have the look nailed.

Looks like we need someone to work on a bumper mod now though. I like that body on there, I was checking it out myself a while ago wondering if it would fit. I'd have bought a clear one if it did and make it look "SAVY" with a new paint job. and left over stickers.

Anyone ever seen a 78 ford bronco for the savage or savage XL. I know theres a 73 but it's not the style I want. I want it with the full back like the proline blazer has. My buddy's parents when I was a teenager had one. We used to bomb around in. Forget the motor though. It wasn't all that small though. That bronco really bucked :D Ha ha ha!

78 Bronco? Not that I know of, but Parma does have a mid to late 80s Bronco if I remember right.

it's a '92-96 Bronco (OJ style) and better suited, size wise, for the Stampede

Thanks for all the replies guys. I may just try the SC8 and $80 is nothing for my truck. I just bought a Baja with a 29cc engine.

You think those bodies are expensive? I'm used to spending upwards of $120 for good 1/5 scale ones.
