Ive been using my JR quattro radio for over a year with no problems and now I'm getting into heli's so I tried plugging in the cord to my 6102 and in the calibrate menu it says there is no signal from the TX
the cable is working and i haven't changed anything except the TX's
i have the 6102 on PPM with the power off

Hi tukkus, can you describe the cord that you have? What's the length and type of connectors at both ends?
The JR stereo-to-mono adapter I was referring to can be purchased from Ikarus USA http://www.ikarus-modellbau.de/onlin...ca088.63839801 or from FXA http://www.fxaeromodels.com/product_...3394b887d3efa7
JR uses a 3.5mm mono socket for the trainer/DSC port. The connector at the end of the AFP/D usb interface is a 3.5mm stereo plug. You will not get the correct electrical connections between the two type of connectors, but due to the socket dimensional/pitch tolerance (which varies from one JR radio to another, and from one socket production batch to another), in very rare cases they "work" but may be intermittent. Therefore, it is recommended to get the stereo-to-mono adapter for JR radios.

RE: problem with my JR 6102
I figured a cheapo way out of paying another $20 for a silly connector.... I had an old FMS cord connector and cut off the end and spliced it on the end that I cut off of the JR cord connector that i got with AFPD and now it works
I suppose i could have gone to radio shack and looked for an adapter but I'm lazy and fustrated with these silly little things that cost alot for a stupid connector

RE: problem with my JR 6102
I just received the update from v1.2 to AeroFly Pro DLX with Add-on - and today, applied the patch for v1.9.7.11.
When starting it up, the following message is displayed. “AeroFly Professional has located the USB interface cable, but was unable to … find a transmitter connected to the USB interface …”.
I also have a JR XP-6102.
I have a stereo-to-mono cable (per posting #4, above). There is no difference in behavior - with or without the cable. I am at a loss for clues in this situation.
Hints and suggestions would be warmly received.

RE: problem with my JR 6102
Yes to all those questions - except it did not turn on automatically - I turned it on.
That was the difference. If that was documented anywhere, I missed it. [:-]
THANKS!!
