There is no upgrade path from AFP to AF5, but there is an upgrade from AFPD to AF5

I do have the deluxe version now that I think about it. How easy is it to upgrade?

It's pretty easy. Just buy the AF5 upgrade disk. You will re-use the same AFPD usb interface for AF5. Just ensure that your computer system and video card meets the requirements for AF5

As a "user" let me interject that the upgrade to AF5 is a marked improvement.

Physics is MUCH better, the 3d scenery is amazing, etc. etc. etc.

IMHO the upgrade is well worth it.
