Looks like the next free upgrade Aerofly 5.7 will be coming soon. At the moment, there's only some info in German http://www.ipacs.de/forum/showthread...en-zum-neuen-a You could use an online webpage translator like AltaVista. The new TrackIR feature is certainly interesting! I will release more info as soon as it is available.

Just downloaded the 5.7.1001 update for the MAC and it's really running slow compared to the pre-update version....29 FPS now....if i really dummy it down i can get 60 in the air with no scenery visible.....any suggestions would be helpful....thanks!

matus, 5.7 should perform the same. Try going into the quality setting and set everything to MEDIUM as a starting point. Did you disable VSYNC?

Could you provide some details on your system, i.e. mac OS, RAM size, video card, and driver version?

Yes, vertical synch is off and it seems worse on the medium settings than when high is selected....29fps vs 49 fps....system data below:
Also glare is off, music off etc.

Several additional observations Raul. With medium selected for AF5 resolution the scenery develops a visual wave from ground to top of trees when plane is flying along side them, the planes appears to actually go thru the clouds (plane actually becomes milky) when flying by them(the clouds) and for the 1st time while using AF5 my Mac went into the screen saver mode after about 6 minutes of use....black screen for a few seconds then screen saver?

No, check the resolution box just at the right side of the full screen/window selection e.g. 1920x1080 60Hz etc. Then select the same resolution for your monitor

OK....where is the resolution box? Is it in the AF5 program? If so i can't locate it for some reason?

What i did to make the program more useable was to limit field of view and autozoom & reduce height dependent vertical camera.....it flyable now but not the same as before.

Can you provide steps for getting to the resolution box...thanks?

Also can you provide info as to what the "TrackIR feature " is?

What % are you using for the screen resolution?

Please do the following:

- load pt40 model
- load us bennetfield scenery
- set quality for all things to MEDIUM

What FPS are you getting?

matus, please install the old version of AF5 from your main disk to anywhere on your harddisk for comparison. The installation steps are as below:

1) double click on the DMG file on the dvd
2) in the then opening window drag the aerofly5 folder to the desktop or any folder.
3) run the old version AF5 and again

- load pt40 model
- load us bennetfield scenery
- set to fullscreen at 100%
- set quality for all things to MEDIUM

What FPS are you getting?
