Good question - I'm looking forward to this answer too - great scenery, but too far away.
You can re-position the pilot with the space bar or landing in "follow & cockpit" views with the digital sceneries, but it would be great if there was a method for the photo sceneries too.

You cannot move the pilot position in any of the photorealistic sceneries. The scenery is a panorama image covering 360 degrees and the pilot position is the spot where the camera was located to take the pictures to make the panorama.
To have the pilot closer, the camera should have been positioned closer to the edge of the runway.

"If you're a Kangaroo, what is Grampie", I ask.
His reply: "you a dinosaur"
