problem with new game commander
Hello,
I have used this flightsim on my Graupner MC10 transmitter and this works fine.
Recently I have bought the Ikarus Game commander USB. So that I can fly longer in the sim.
The purpose is that I ONLY use my game commander now instead of my Graupner transmitter.
Anyway I sold my Graupner transmitter.
My pc (OS: XP Professional) recognizes this game commander.
I have also calibrated and tested my game commander.
As a joystick interface, this game commander works fine.
From the aerofly website, I downloaded the "AeroFly Professional Deluxe Patch"
I Installed this "afpd18021.exe" and see now version 1.8.0.21.
I can fly in the sim but that's about it.
I have still two major problems:
1) I MUST still insert my old USB interface cable:
Now I need 2 USB ports and and 2 cables two fly with the sim !
THere must be a way to avoid this problem...
2) I cannot calibrate my Game Commander in AFPD:
I find it strange that I can calibrate this device as a joystick, but not in the simulator.
Can someone help me please

RE: problem with new game commander
Hi,
1) it's clear, you have to use both cables, because the interface cable acts as hardware dongle for copy protection as well.
2) why can't you calibrate the gamecommander? no signals? jittery calibration bars? gamecommander not recognized? did you select the correct device?
Regards

RE: problem with new game commander
Hello Karl-Heinz,
I have here a pic of the calibration screen.
When I move the controls I see the red bars move according to the following scheme:
L-stick: channel 3 and 4
R-stick: channel 1 and 2
switch 5: button 1
switch 6: channel 6/button 3
Turn Knob 7: channel 5
So I have communication and it looks like it is working.
But as you see in the pic, the calibrate button is inactive. And there is a warning message.
I also added another pic of the input devices, it maybe can help.
In all of these cases there is no connection with a real transmitter.
Greetings,
Simon
