If its a new JR (since June 05 I think) you'll need to make an adapter. The AFPD dongle is a 1/8" stereo plug and you'll need to convert that to a 1/8" mono plug. I went to Radio Shack and bought a 1/8" stereo female jack and 1/8" mono plug and tied them together. Connect one wire from the inner contact of the female to the inner contact on the male and then connect the other wire from the other small post on the female receptacle to the post on the male with the wire clamp. (I wish I had a picture drawn of this).
Also, remember to leave the power off on your JR when you're trying to run AFPD and put it PPM mode.
nothin to it,

If you have the Commander version just order the SIMCOM. You don't need anything else.
