Aerofly Pro: a lot of down-elevator needed when fly inverted
Hi
I have a AeroFlyPro (the non-USB, Original Aerofly Professional Interface version) and have it patched to the atest patch (Original AeroFly Pro
Update Patch 1.6.8.6). Regarless of what airplane I pick, I need to apply a lot of down elevator to fly it level. This is very unrealistic and makes it less useful to pratice 3D or IMAC.
I have checked the radio channel settings on the Sim, the airplane CG and elevator settings, and the trim/travel settings on my Futaba radio. Looks fine.
Any advice on correct this bad habit?
Thanks --qc

Hi QC,
You said you have checked the radio channel settings on the Sim, the airplane CG and elevator settings, and the trim/travel settings on your Futaba radio.
Did you try calibrating the radio in the sim?
I have AFPD and it has a button on the main menu for this, not sure what version you have.
Just a thought,
John

I have also noticed this with some airplanes. I tryed to email Rodeo about it but I have gotten no resopnse yet. I am sure there is some where in the TMD file it can be altered but I am not sure where yet. I wonder if one used the editor and moved the weight back and added more downthrust if it would fix it.
By the way i repainted and modifed some aircraft for AFPD if anyone wants some more planes. I have my Flair Fokker DVII, a P-38, and P-51 Gunfighter.

Sir,
I experimented with a 3D Kat and tried to make it like My Accel Kantana 40. I changed the weight and moved the CG way back and changed the tail incidence. I have it flying pretty close right side up and upside down with little or no elevator input. If you want me to send you a Zipped file of the 3D plane drop me an email and I will send it to you. I do like a little bit of down elevator when I am upside down just to continually remind my hand not to pull the stick back on low inverted passes.

Yeah, the recalibration did the job. Another thing I discovered is that the wing incidences on a lot of models have a positive value (1 or 1.5). With wing incidences set to zero and a calibrated control, I was able to fly several planes pretty hands-free either up-right or inverted.
