Ikarus Aerofly Simulator for Mac

This may have already been covered - I didn't have time to search through all the forums.

I have an iMac and want a simulator to fly. Does anybody know the difference between the Aerofly Professional Deluxe and Aerofly 5.7? The 5.7 costs $140.00 more and all I can see is that you can fly with friends and has 4D (what is that?) graphics.

I just want a good selection of airplanes / gliders and don't really need the internet flying experience with friends. I do want realistic flying fields and good physics and maybe the ability to modify control throws, power levels, wind, etc.

Is the 5.7 worth the extra money?

My Computer
Processor: 2.5GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 with 6MB on-chip shared L3 cache
Ram: 8GB
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 6750M graphics processor with 512MB of GDDR5 memory

Thanks

Glenn

RE: Ikarus Aerofly Simulator for Mac

Hi Glenn, you can find more information on the features of AF5 here http://www.aerofly.com/features_en.html and on AFPD here http://www.aerofly.com/afpd/features.html As far as flight physics for airplanes and gliders, photorealistic sceneries, and ability to modify aircraft settings are concerned, AFPD is still a great choice. Your computer specs should be good enough for both AFPD and AF5. In either case, I would recommend the usb interface version where you can use your own computerized radio with its programmable functions.
