Aerotech 330s 28%
I have been searching this site for days and it just seems that no one is flying this plane. I realize that it is not an extremely popular size, but it would fit my lifestyle better than the monsters. So the point of all this is, I would like to know if anyone has seen or flown or heard of someone flying this plane and what the general consensus is.

Aerotech 330s 28%
Hello,
I flew and early version about a year ago and it did real nice. It had a 3W60 on it. Thats really what steered me to call then and ask more questions about the kits. I now have a 35% Velox a new 42% Velox and a 35% Carden Cap 232. There website is www.aerotech-rcmodels.com and John is a great help with any needs you have.
Thanks
Dave Miller P.A.

John is a stand up guy. I bought a rtf 28%300xs from John. Nice plane and fly's very well. You will be very happy when you deal with AERO-TECH RCMODELS...

I built and flew one of these a few years back with a 3.2 in it and I loved it. Enjoyed dealing with John as well. I am sure you would be happy with it.
My dad had a Carden 30 pct extra at the time and though the Aerotech is a bit smaller, they flew very similarly.

I have a Aerotech 28% extra that flies great. It has a brisson3.2 on it. As me and my father calculated the weight we determined it to weigh in at about 18.5 lbs. This was a surprise to me as I thought it was a bit heavier. Nevertheless this plane is a real machine. It goes where you point it and will stay there until you decide otherwise. It is good in most 3-d meanuvers( this is because of my capabilities, cant do them all). I can say that it will do a very quick harrier roll, almost fast enough to lose count of the number of rolls. It does harrier good, mine is a bit nose heavy so it is challenging to do. Does great knife edge circles, wingtip spins, snaps, and most everything you can do. I have been flying this plane for about 3months now and the best thing is that I have never had any bad characteristics with it. It has jr4721 servos on the wings and elevator, jr8411 metal gear on rudder, and a hitec 545bb on servo, with a futaba fm receiver. All in all I can say that this is a great flying plane.

Check the 28 Extra ARF here. If its as light as they say, it will perform like a 40%er. I calculate with a BME 50 wingloading will be 25oz/sqft. A 40% Fiberclassics has a wingloading of 30oz/sqft.

This will be a REAL floater and 3d machine.

Thank you, I still like that aerotech plane. I was watching the Extreme R/C website and even tried at one time to put a deposite down on the Edge, though now I am glad it did not work out as I know with the proper kit.... the finished product will be a nicer plane for the long haul.

You are right, that is a great deal. I am not keen on painting, I have my pride and joy 71 chevelle in the garage with the engine out, and not set up for spraying anyhow. Someday....

Hello,
Don't you still have to supply all your own wood with the G&L Kits? That in itself bumps up the price for nice light wood and I can tell you AAA light balsa is not cheap and Aerotech use's that in the kits Ive bought.
Thanks
