Choices
There are a number of planes that will work. Hanger 9 and Lanier have ARF versions of the Edge.
Dave Patrick has several choices for this size plane.
There are many others from various manufacturers. You can search the advertiser's list shown at the top of every page here.

RE: Best Imac Plane For Ys140l ???
Thanks moderator. I assume you mean the Sig Products 231EX ARF. A friend of mine
has one and really likes it although he had to realign the thrust line quite a bit more to the right and then remount the engine more to the left to accomodate the cowl and
airplane center line. I like the weight because I know with the YS140L you need to keep
airplane weight below 12 pounds (11 is better) for good vertical perf. Weight, smooth
IMAC sequences and an ARF are my criteria.
I have used the Creek Hobbies Staudacher with the YS140L and
IMAC performance was acceptable but Creek stocking of parts
for airplanes is abysmal - I do not recc them. Also the Staudacher required 8 oz nose weight even with all gear crammed in the front and 2 std servos for elev in the tail. NOT GOOD!
I also have a Dave Patrick 540 Edge which
is great but requires at least a Moki 1.8 (YS140 will not cut it). I do not know of any
other Dave Patrick A/P that is ARF and can be built to 11 or even 12 lb.
I have a feeling the the airplane I am looking for is an Extra 300 for best IMAC perf.
Am I off base here? What do you think? If I go for the Sig 231EX how will it balance
with the YS140L and a c.g. located tank and 2 std servos in the tail. No nose weight
I hope. Tail weight is OK. Thanks mucho, Waltermitty

Goldberg Extra is your plane. I saw one powered with a YS 120 AC on 40% nitro win Unlimited at an Imac contest........Dave Patrick was flying. The same plane was used to win the Advanced class with Chuck Smith flying. This goes way back when the Extra first came out, but the flying characteristics haven't changed.
