Default Edge 540 Scale

I need help, and can't seem to find it.

I am getting ready to build a rather large Edge 540 aerobatic airplane, and am looking for some specific photos of the cockpit, close up of the disc brakes etc.

I allready have two packs of Bob Banka walkarounds, but its not enough..

I wan't to make this as scale as I possibly can.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

You might try contacting Zivko. The manufacturer of the plane. Or, you may be able to get ahold of Kirby Chambliss, the champion pilot. He may have a website.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Ed, but I have tried to contact Zivko, and they don't answer.

Your best bet will probably be someone who owns one, wish I knew you were lookin for this info I got up close and personal to a bunch of edges at the WAC in Lakeland.

Try
http://www.gregpoe.com/

Actually Call Zivko if you haven't they never respond via email.

Ide even try contacting Kirby someone in his staff should help you out, just let them know what your doing and usually they are glad to help.

I suppose you know where I'm going with this. I want to make the Large Edge as scale as one can make. Everyone is scaling Warbirds and such, but no one is doing the most popular airplanes which are aerobats.

I am now working on a scale AT-6 as a good practice to be ready for the Edge.

Do you have your engine auto starter working that would be slick on this baby?

I sold the original ZDZ 210 with the starter for a UAV project and am buying another with another starter installed. I will also have the disc brakes that you might have seen on my web site. I think I might have to modify the brakes slightly to make them more scale, hence one of the reason I'm looking at close up photos of the full size Edge.

Of course it will be decked out with my Fiber Optic servo extensions

Yep, It's unbelievable to think that a plane as huge as this edge can weigh so little. Lets keep on talking about it & I will wind up filing for divorce real soon, Got to get one.

Yeah, Im waiting for Rick to get me the video from the prototypes flights so I can put them on the page. At the weight of the 3D Version the 3W 200 would be ample power.

Mine will be heavier with all the scale I want to do, but for IMAC, it will still be a floater. And with the ZDZ 210 up front since it is very light, the added weight of the starter (28 oz.) it won't hurt it any.
