Report - National IMAC Judging School - Mesa, AZ (26-27 Jan 2013)
The U.S. National IMAC Judging school took place in Mesa, AZ this past weekend (26-27 January 2013). There was a good turnout despite the rainy weather that eliminated the practical flight judging on Sunday. Pictures below show the format, great venue (Arizona Regional Hospital) and some of the familiar faces that were there to instruct, to learn and to just talk about IMAC.
There are still many schools planned for this Winter / Spring for 2013, so find one in your local area and join in! Link for all of the regions events following the pictures. Enjoy!

Specifics: A large stick plane is quite useful for teaching at a judging school, especially when there is a larger classroom.

Specifics: Depending on the registration prior to a judging school, an appropriately sized venue will be required. Look for low or no-cost places in public areas or places that are willing to loan the space. Chairs and tables make visitors/students feel at home.

Specifics: One point that had to be made several times was finally described with a drawing on the white board. Line lengths must be equal, maneuvers in between are considered one group. Individual elements of that group do not have to occupy the same amount of space (i.e. snap and half roll).
