From the original announcement on the IMAC Website (www.mini-IAC.com
"We will have an IMAC judging school in Welcome North Carolina at the Richard Childress Racing Shop on February 16th. On Sunday we will go to the Mocksville flying field for the practical flying portion of school.
The address is 425 Industrial Drive, Lexington NC. Some GPS devices will accept Welcome NC, but most don’t so use Lexington.
I hope to get the room in the Cup shop for the class room. It’s too early to get a firm commitment on the room so keep an eye on this thread for last minute details on the exact location. I will post signs to get you to the correct room.
The weekend of the class is the week before the Daytona 500 so the shop will most likely be full of activity."
What an opportunity! Most likely the coolest IMAC Judging School venue in the U.S. depending on what you like...but who doesn't enjoy racing engines and fast cars?
Anyway, they did get together to discuss the finer points of the 2013-2014 Scale Aerobatics Rules changes and go over the things that help judges stay consistent while in the chair scoring routines. If you haven't gone, GO to the next one within a day's drive (400 miles or so) it will be WELL worth it.
I'll let the folks that were there pipe in and tell you about the highs and lows, interesting discussions and how much fun they all had, but I snagged the pictures from my wife (WhirlyGirl Jeanette Hibpshman) who went, so I could share with you all!
