Default Hangar 9 su26 mm 3.1 meter

Does anyone have any experience of the hangar 9 sukhoi 3.1 meter , I have just put one. Together with a DLE 170 up front and when I came to do the CG I find myself having to put 24 oz ,s of lead in the tail to get any where near the balance point as per the instruction manual of 10.5 inches from the tip at the trailing edge , can this be correct . I flew the maiden this morning and it went perfectly . .no trim needed so i guess it was meant to be that way,, however putting loads of weight in the TAIL is foreign to me !! MK

I would be moving batteries and rudder servos to the tail.

Does not seem possible to need 24 oz in the tail with a 170. I didnt need near than with a DA200. With a DA170 balance is perfect with rx batts at rear of the cowl.

Rudder servos should already be in the tail.

You are measuring 10.5" forward from the trailing edge at the tip right? Not 10.5" back from the leading edge?

Yo. Mike. Yes of course I measured it the right way, it ain't my first rodeo I made a crosspiece support and molded the lead weight and screwed it to the former just in front of the H stabs. So I could still reach it. I have a heavy wooden prop and a 6 inch tru turn up front , and it balances in the perfect point as recommended flys perfectly in the first four test flights so I left it alone, now I haven't got the time to fly it so it's for sale see rcu.
