I will not be able to find out until spring time when the stop goes away .... but what I hear is all good things

I have been running a 25-12mezlick all year on my DA 100 on my H9 Suk.. I just think for 3d I might like this Biela a little better at abit more prop torque pulling out of some stuff but still have my DB still low over the use of a 2balde..and no doubt its pretty

The prop is around 155.00Canadian and if you have your prop come special order you get it in the color choices available at no extra fee

You can contact Richard Biron at [email protected]

Hope that helps

I have been using the 26-10 Beila two blade on my ZDZ 80RV powered Ultimate. Standard colour is red and white, matched my bipe just fine! I find that it performs a lot like a Menz, however being carbon fiber there is no flex at all, and it gets lot of bite on the air. My ZDZ 80 turns this at 6300 rpm, same as a Menz again. Sure are nicely made props, form Poland I believe.

Nice looking prop! I'll have to check the link on the other place.
I assume that is a .COM on the end of that.

Actually the back side is black on mine also, could have something to do with the carbon fiber, I don't think it was painted black however, sure looks good. Factory balanced too!

I am really proud to see that you are happy with your biela props. They are designed and produced in Poland. I have see mnay working.
I heard that the early "prototypes" were breaking very often, but everything is ok now

Spinner? Better ask for Biela cut. The hub on my Biela 28x10 is quite a bit larger than the hub on my Menz-S 28x10. A Menz-cut spinner will not fit a Biela prop.

Nice Prop... you should make a clock out of it.

With a 2 bladed prop, do you have ground clearance issues? Are the tips going super sonic? If the answer to both is no, there is NO reason to use more then a 2 bladed prop. (Unless you are into precision scale) Performance with a 3 or 4 blade prop is NEVER as good as a 2 blade. And the last time I looked, I could not determine how many blades are on a prop when the motor is running. You will be unhappy with the performane of this prop. If you think it performs better then what you have been using, then you have not used the proper 2 bladed prop. If your goal is to enhance 3D capability, increase diameter and reduce pitch... (general rule of thumb.) think about 3D this way... Kinda doing a lot of "Helicopter" type maneuvers... a lot of post stall hanging on the prop activity... well look at a helicopter rotor... large diameter and low pitch. It is more efficient to accelerate a large volume of air through a small velocity increase, then to accelerate a small volume of air through a large velocity increase. So given a finite amount of power, more efficiency = more thrust! (At lower airspeeds) Typically that is where we (3D'ers) want more thrust, is at low airspeeds. Also... the large diameter low pitch prop makes a decent airbrake on down lines.... (Mejzlik 26 x 10 worked well on my 100 cc gas burner.... at about 6000 rpms) If I coulda bought a 28 x 8 prop, I woulda done it. (Back in 1999)

If you just like the novelty of a cool looking 3 bladed prop, then right on.... that I can relate too!!!

You use a 3 bladed prop because it's quieter. For imac , it helps to drop for the noise rating, as well as spots where you're under tighter noise restrictions.

I accept that correction as totally valid... 3 blades = less noise

(I sometimes forget that others have that constraint... I fly off a dry lake in the high desert of california.... no noise restrictions here)

3 blades also = less efficiency, therefore less pull. The Beila props have wider blades which pull a bit better compared to a thin blade prop, such as the AirModels line which I run. The only problem with the thicker blades is the noise will increase as you increase the thickness of the blades. With the cold weather down here at our first contest in Fla I actually heard a few 3-blade Biela's rip on a few occasions.

Generally... noise from the blade is from high speed at the tips. The tip speed can approach (And sometimes exceed) mach 1.0
That can explain why the pattern guys resort to shorter props with more pitch... they have the sound limitation... 10,000 rpms with an 18" prop puts the tips at about mach .8
Now add the hundred or so miles per hour flight speed, and the acceleration to the flow from camber in the blade, and you got noise.

Use a shorter prop, lots more pitch to drop the RPM,s and it will be quieter.
One of these days, someone will resort to a swept blade to reduce the relative mach number!!!!.... Oh Wait.... I did that already!!!!! LOL
