Thats cool, I was just wondering how you tested your isolator/power buss.

It would definitely be nice if I had made graphs etc. because it would sure save alot of typing when people asks questions

...but unfortunately I had a one track mind at the time and didn't think of things like that....and the notes I did take were often written down on whatever piece of paper was closest at the time

..and sometimes I come across fairly blunt, (personality flaw) please don't take it personal. Just ask leardriver , he can tell you that if you get me going on a subject I tend to get pretty wound up...

Thanks fred- I'm an Airtronics flyer but the numbers on the JR's 8611 are about twice the power of the Airtronic's 58Z Digital(which I like) but couldn't resist the #'s on the 8611 and put one on rudder- you know. Now a dilemma: I put Airtronic's and JR "logos on my latest project . I like this servo compatibility thing, sooo when is Futaba going to (join the club)[sm=lol.gif]
If you fly Airtronics you should look at the 358's. I know the're not digital (have to keep up with the Jones's) but they are fast, POWERFULL and going for their third season in a 35%'er still with the original gear-sets! If you do like them, don't tell too many people - I wouldn't want them to be hard to find

Mc Farland--------Here is a decent battery setup- that's not too cost intensive.
Use dual batteries (6V packs ) -both plugged into the RX.
If possible use HD switches /connectors .
avoid cheap connectors and std AWG long leads. get 22 AWG if possible
You don't ned to rewire directly to each servo - but on a BIG plane for max flow to multiple 200 in oz ganged servos -- get a power buss.
if possible - buy some Sanyo 1950ma -or other Sanyo super high discharge NIMH cells . get em in 6v packs
Robotic Solutions as well as other battery specialist suppliers can furnish these .
You don't need meters or anything else to determine if your present batteries are able to supply enough current .
Simply listen to the sound of the servos operating the surfaces with your pack -vs a BIG pack or one pack vs two packs
The pitch (tone ) will get higher as more current is supplied to the servo - try this with 4.8 vs 6 to note how much this factor affects the pitch.
The servos are designed to operate on 6 Volts NOT MORE. so if you are thinking of directly wiring in higher voltage - forget it
