PRE-REGISTRATION LINK: http://home.hvc.rr.com/aerobatix/registration2.htm

¶ Contestants who register by no later than midnight, Tuesday, August 17th will be placed into a drawing and one of these people with have their registration fee waived!
¶ For everyone else, the registration fee is $30.

Current Planned Schedule

o One short unknown (Optional event, scores do not count toward contest)

NOTE: The "short unknown" is a "just for fun" event. You can participate at your own discretion and scores are not included in the overall contest. The sequence will be made up of 3 maneuvers that are typically found in the next class (example: Sportsman's maneuvers are drawn from Intermediate class maneuvers). Prior experiences indicate that this is a very enjoyable part of the contest.

¶ Flying will begin at 9:00am
¶ Sportsman, Intermediate, Advanced and Unlimited will fly one unknown and one known.
¶ Basic will fly one known round with a single sequence and one known round with two sequences.

From the Capital Beltway/Route 95:
¶ Find your way around to the eastern half of the Capital Beltway where it meets Rt 50 and take Rt 50 East towards Annapolis.
¶ Follow Rt 50 East approximately 8 miles to Rt 301 South.
¶ Follow Rt 301 South approximately 9 -10 miles to a left on Swanson Road. Look for contest signs. If you have passed the "Weigh Station" you have just passed Swanson Road.
¶ Follow Swanson Road and signs for "PGRC" all the way to the end to the field.

¶ As you near Annapolis, take Route 50 West and follow to Rt 301 South.
¶ Follow Rt 301 South approximately 9 -10 miles to a left on Swanson Road. Look for contest signs. If you have passed the "Weigh Station" you have just passed Swanson Road.

Looking forward to flying this contest have something to prove after the TOC this year and the CAPI last year. If you need any help at the contest let me know and if I can I'll be more then happy to do it.

Yes, it was ugly..... the tree just swallowed it up whole and spit it out in pieces on the other side!

I would love to see you down at the CAPI- to fly, or to just visit- whatever works for you.

As of today, the Monday before the contest, we have about 30 pre-registrants for this contest. While, as usual, Basic and Sportsman have a good turnout, we also have a heavier than usual contingient of Advanced (4) and Unlimited (5) flyers already registered.

For those of you in the upper classes who don't always have enough competition to fly against, here is your chance (ahem, Teseo, you aren't pre-registered yet......... ).

We hope you'll make plans to come and, if so, please pre-register at:

Drop her off at the Borgota on the way down Friday and pick her up on the way back on Sunday!

Just kidding...... hope you can make it. We are into the 30's now for pre-registrants and the classes are fairly well balanced with Intermediate, Advanced and Unlimited all having better than average turnouts.

Should be great.

Last time I checked the forecast was that it would be good weather most of the day with a 50 pct chance of thundershower late afternoon on Saturday- and warm- like high 80's. Sunday looks great- sunny and high 70's.

If this forecast holds, we shouldn't have any problem getting in a full contest.

Hope everyone had a great time at the Capi. Sorry I missed it. Everytime I saw one of those planes pulling the large banners at the shore I was thinking of you guys (about once every 10 minutes)![8D]

Any final results from anyone other than Dave (I'm sure he needs a day or two to recoup.....lot a work to put on one of these events)?

Dave,
Sorry I had missed it, sounds like an awsome contest. Kevin, I'll take you up on that round at the next one. Had a large family BBQ I could not bail out on. Anyway, I figured I'd let you win at least one this year
See you at Ed's contest.
