Sneak Peak: Scratch Building a 40% Extra
All,
I am finishing up an article on scratch building based on a recent project of mine: a 40% Extra 260. Article will be posted on the IMAC web page in the near future. I thought I would give the RCU and IMAC members a sneak peak of the project. The article will talk about designing, building and flying your own design as an alternative to buying an ARF or a kit. Plane has just been recently finished and has about 16 flights on it. I will have many photos that chronicle the endeavor but here are a few of the plane to wet your appetite:

Dave,
Looks very cool... always have thought that scratch building into something nice like that was pretty good.... but a 40%er to boot....VERY cool. You will have to show me when I come to pay off and pick up the Cap (I CAN"T WAIT BY THE WAY). Talk to you soon.

Sorry guys, I'll be at the beach with the family for the weekend.
I have been made aware that there has been some discussion about a potential "end of season" NE Region get together over on the Eastern Shore of Maryland sometime in October and perhaps I'll see you there. (Probably not you, Cody!)
Keep in mind that this was just "hobby shop talk" and may not happen or if it does, may not be at that field. Either way, we have done it in the past and it has been a good time. Let's hope we do it.
