Default Directions to Prattville, AL. IMAC event

The map is a little unclear. Here are the directions to the field from the interstate. Exit at I-65 #179 about 10 miles north of Montgomery. The Hwy there is 82. Turn west on 82 and go about 1/4 mile to the first traffic light. Turn left at that light to stay on Hwy 82. Go 4-5 miles til' ya' see a traffic light intersection for Hwy 14. Turn left onto Hwy 14. Go 10 miles til' ya see Hwy 21. Turn left onto Hwy 21. Go exactly 2.8 miles to the field on your left. Go slow as you aproach 2.8 miles, as most all the first time vistors pass up the drive, it's hidden by some little trees. See ya' there, DAN.

Thanks Dan, I was going to post this question on the email group.
I saw the list of hotels, are any offering discounts or specials for the event?
I called the Days inn twice and got two different prices and those were different than the one online.
See you there

Info about the meet can be found on the IMAC website. As well as info about all upcoming meets. Keep an eye out for more meets in Alabama this year, as well as one more clinic for first-timers. The flyer for the meet that is posted on the IMAC website can be reached quickly here http://www.sewbusy.com/Alabama.html

There are no special rates at any of the hotels that are on the flyer. The rates on the flyer were quoted to us about three months ago when we though up the idea of having this meet. Perhaps they have changed since then. Sorry for the confusion. Dan

Hmmmmmm, Don't worry about the pre-registration at this date. We've only got about 7 of those anyway. However, I've talked to some 20 or more pilots that are planning on making the trip. We can sign ya' up on Saturday morning. Don't forget your foamie (and music) for the 2-minute foamie freestyle contest on Saturday afternoon. If the winds are too high for foamies, well have it first thing on Sunday morning. See you guys there, Dan.

Doesn't look like I am going to make it.
Yesterday, my engine started running very rough.
Check the plugs and carburation, but it looks like I have a bad ignition.
I am pulling the unit tonight to send it to C&H but don't expect it to be back by friday.
Was really looking forward to the contest. I may come anyway to Call for Joe, but don't know.
Take care, and please publish scores promptly when the contest is over <smile>

If anyone attending this meeet has a 26-8 prop they are willing to part with (or loan for the contest), please bring it. My buddy is flying a model now with a 26-10 and we both think it is a bit too much. We cannot get a 26-8 in time for this weekend.

He is also looking for a 24-8 for another model at home.

Thanks.
Ryan
