South Central Regional Champs Results
Results for the Regional Championships held this past weekend in Sherman.
The weather was fantastic on Saturday, and frankly it sucked on Sunday.
I was personally dissappointed, as many were, to not add an unknown to the
results. But, sometimes you take what you can get!
I appreciate all who attended, it was a great time. I look forward to
seeing you all next year.

RE: South Central Regional Champs Results
It was a real eye opener for me to see all the awesome pilots this last weekend! A lot different then the smaller planes I have seen in the past! You just couldn't ask for better weather to fly in saturday. We were treated to some great flying. Mother nature made up for it on sunday though[:@].
I thing sucked is a understatement!!! I was running from plane to plane trying to make sure none took off from the strong wind. I was really pumped for wanting to see the freesyle on sunday. It was a good call to shut her down though. We started picking things up after the awards. After about a hour later with the wind still blowing like 30mph, The rain started . Added to the dropping temp's. It made for hilarious site. Alot of fat boys running around trying to get all the tents folded up before they blew away. LOL....... A site to behold!!!
I had a great time. Met some terrific people. And saw some wonderful looking planes. I'll be looking forward to giving IMAC a try next year.

RE: South Central Regional Champs Results
True,
In the case of Sportsman and Intermediate, Shawn and Ryan are in their first season in that class. Both have been serious competitors all season, and will move up next year. In the case of Unlimited, No one person has dominated the year in the SC. Bill, as always, is the man by which we all try to measure up to. This year we have a load of talent moving up the ladder which should make for an extremely competitive season next year. After six sequences with two dropped, there is only 200 points from first to seventh. Pretty competitive!!

Hey Dan, if by chance your regionals are on a different weekend than the SW next year maybe the Albuquerque gang can fly there too!!
I know we plan on making El Paso and Odessa at least next year.
Sorry you guys had bad weather. Vegas was great! Never seen the winds so calm there.
Congrats to the winners!

You should have 3 other pilots to fly against. We have verbal commitments from Bill Hempel, Dave Stoik (had to move up) and of course Len Alessi. A four person Unlimited would be unprecedented for our contest. I think its going to be much bigger next year. We had 27 at the last one and I have had a lot of interest as of late. Thanks for considering coming up again.
