RE: New Composite-ARF Extra 260 Schemes
I almost got one of the very first of the 260's, but hell, I just learned to fly last summer, and I thought I might need to get a 35% first. So i got a 2.6 Yak. Now I wish I would have gone big. Man, 18months flying, and I need a damn trailer to get to the feild now. Planes aren't that expensive compared to other hobbies I have gotten into, but for a "toy".... The Kiwi one looks cool. Finally Andreas stoped listening to that German Angel on his shoulder that listens to all that techno music, and found a nice paint job. I wanted an all white and red one (Hells Angels colors), but would have waited for a month and a half to get it. And it wasn't much cheaper. Its cool to see such a great pilot, and great personality as Senior Bogan, flying comparf. I just want to know what is up with PBG planes? I loved the look of it. And those who fly in their flip-flops, God bless every one of us! Hell, Im 34 and retired! Im in the flip flop the rest of my life! Dean, I have got to get up to fly with you guys! I had some issues come up with my sons mother today (stay away from crystal meth, I beg you), and I can't make it to the seminar in the morning. BUMMER. I was hoping to meet Anna Wood, and the other Cirkus folks, and see planes bigger than mine for the first time in action. Im out of here! Pop-a-taco

Hi Dean
Below are some pics of the Cross-over header installation in my 3M Extra 330 Comp-Arf.

Did you make these yourself or buy them somewhere? If you bought them, let me know where I can get a pair! They look like exactly what I am going to need! Thanks!

Hi
Dean
The white motordome is the Extra 330 before we painted it. The set-ups are very similar on the 260. You will see when you get it.
JBanks
These headers are available off the shelf from Desert Aircraft.

With you guys' 330's, are you concerned at all about keeping the cans cool? Just wondering as it looks like they are kind of isolated from the airflow in there. I intend on setting it up in a way to direct some airflow over them and out the bottom of the fuse.

I received my plane and the "build" has started. I'm going to be posting the pictures of the "build" in the Flying Cirkus "Assembly Required" forum.

The plane looks awesome. I can't wait to get it flying!!
Take care,
Dean

The build is going well. Dave Stoik is also putting some pictures in from his build. He's got a turquoise Kiwi scheme.

The canopy was the latest step. It was done using the reverse vacuum method.

Dean

The "cooling" cut-outs have been made and the cowling baffles have been installed.
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_39..._5/key_/tm.htm
The cowling baffles were made from a carbon/balsa plate from R/C Blimp Productions.
