Is the GP 1/3 Pitts Legal for IMAC?
I know it's IMAA legal, but that doesn't mean it's IMAC legal.
I think that you can fly any plane thats been flown in full scale IAC--but I don't know enough about it to say one way or the other if a Pitts Special was ever flown in IAC.
For instance, you can fly a Decathlon. Most guys wouldn't do it beyond Basic class, but you CAN fly it in ANY class.
I know that you can fly ANYTHING in Basic--even an LT-40.
I'm wondering if I can fly the Pitts in Advanced or Sportsman.
Whats the verdict?
Thanks

Yes, you can fly your GP Pitts in any class of IMAC. Pitts Specials have a long and storied history in IAC/FAI competition. They are no longer the thoroughbreds of the sport with the introduction of monoplanes some 25 years or so ago.
There a many Pitts Specials flown in IAC competition to this day.
