Default RE: Best gas engine for 120 size edge 540?

I started flying my Lanier 540 with a Saito 150, but since I had to add 1 1/2 pounds of weight to the nose, I tried a Zenoah G-26. It flies pretty good with the G26, but won't hover. It is definitely better on gas milage. I have just put a Brison 2.4 on it yesterday but haven't flown it yet. I will let you know how it works if the brison doesn't twist it in half.

My experience with the MVVS is limited to the 1.6 and it's somewhat less then positive. In fact my RCS140 will out turn it by almost 800 rpm on any prop, and it weighs less. Yes it is true that the RCS is a rear induction engine so linkage is tricky and its tough to get to the needles. But it is so powerful, the first time you see 7900-8000 on a pro Zinger 18/8 you'll forget all about the problems. As far as the MVVS 2.1, is weighs almost the same as a Brison 2.4 and isn't even close in power. rcfaq.com has some good comparisons for prop RPM check them out before you buy.
Outcast, do you have a link for the rcfaq.com with prop comparisons? That's the first time i hear a 22CC engine can beat a 26CC??

That would be way to much motor for the 120 edge , i am affraid that motor would rip the firewall right off, a great motor by the way but not for this plane. It would work great for a bigger scale Edge for sure like the Dave patrick edge.
