I was looking at this plane. I think it is beautiful.
Rocky at AW emailed me and said the flying weight of these planes is around 27#. I haven't seen one personally.

Are you referring to the kit or the ARF? I have a full season of IMAC flying the kit version with a Brison 6.4 and JR 4721's all the way around. It weighs 24.5 pounds dry. Great flying IMAC plane and a good 3Der, BUT not at the same time. The CG needs to be in front of the recommendation to get the plane to "lock in". But, with this CG the wings wobble like crazy in high alpha. Move the CG back...the wobble goes away, but then it doesn't track very well. (especially in wind) I made a hatch in the tail that i could put lead in and out of easily just for this problem. Also, the landing gear NEEDS to be moved/angled forward. With the CG set for precision it tips on landings. (not good for a 3 blade Mejzlik prop) Overall it is a good flying plane with no bad habits.
Good Luck,
Bryan
