Default 1st Contest - Basic Question????

I'll be attending the MVRCC contest in Ohio this weekend. I have never flown the basic sequence except on the simulator.[] I do fly Pattern in the Intermediate class.

The exit out of the figure nine is at mid level. It appears that the entry for the 1/2 cuban 8 is at mid level and exits at a normal low level (the 1/2 roll being at the same level as the figure 9 exit). Then the Immelman is a normal setup for the spin.

Am I understanding this correctly.

Sounds good.....
the half roll isn't neccessarily at the same level as the 9... as long as the roll is centered 1/2 way down to 45 degree downline

I'll be there this weekend too... flying basic... this will be my 4th contest... relax and have fun. I will be flying a 50cc QQ yak... if I can help in ANY way. let me know. I would love to call for you if you need.. or anything else...

I am going to the XFC tomorrow to watch and then down to the IMAC meet for the weekend....

Lemme know...

Cheers
Curtis

Thanks Curtis...

Lisa will call for me, but we may need to be calibrated for where each maneuver is entered and exited in the box. I'm assuming it's similar to pattern. I suspect that based on some of the maneuvers, like the stall turn is a turnaround maneuver, leading into a Sharks Tooth that may start at or before center of the box. Then the figure 9 is again a center maneuver.

I don't really know, but that's what it looks like looking at the Aresti...I'll just have to see it to understand it and then, "Just Do It"...vbg...Look forward to meeting you and the rest of the folks. Lisa and I are going to try and get there late afternoon / early evening on Friday.

sounds like you have a hand on it...... since you have a pattern background, I'm sure you will get a very quick handle of it.....

not sure if you have seen this off of the IMAC site...
