14MZ reciever working with a base loaded antenne?
Question, Does the 14 MZ Reciever work with a base loaded antenne such as what is flown on the jets that I have seen, or on IMAC planes.
The antenne wire is usually cut to a 4 inch long length and then attached to the short whip antenne. I have seen them laying parallel inside airplanes and contained with in the fuselage.
What works? And if so what is the recommended antenne?
Thanks to all who respond.

RE: 14MZ reciever working with a base loaded antenne?
Flyingdan,
I've never used the 14MZ, I've only worked with JRs line of equipment. I have used the Deans Base Loaded Antennae on 4 helicopters and at least 10 different airplanes, ranging from nitro, electric and gas motors of various sizes, and using receivers ranging from 6 channel FM to 10 channel PCM. I've even used it on JRs ultra light micro FM receiver without problem. This doesn't mean I know the facts about what should or shouldn't be done, but after asking around, and plenty of experience, my club almost exclusively uses them now, and we've seen no problems at all.
