I'm trying to find out when/where are any IMAC/SCAT events are in California... I dont like the Mini-iac site, they dont really tell you much..

anyone know of any coming up soon?

It certainly doesn't look like imac has much going on in CA this year. If you're interested it looks like imaa has a big meet going on June 19-22 just north of you at Castle AFB in Atwater. I think I might try to make that one myself. www.fly-imaa.org/

I know there is a group of guys that are working out the details to get a few IMAC events going on here in the Bay Area. Scat will be in Buttonwillow and Salinas, all other events are much further south. Just keep checking the sites.

We have a little group of people working together right now. Each one of use are finding all information to get some IMAC's going this year in Northern CA. So far it looks like we will have around 6 just up here in Northern CA. Maybe you can talk to your club in Fresno and see if they would let us hold an event there. We have plenty of people interested in running the contest. All we need are fields. So again we have about 6 planed and hopefully they will fall through. Now your job is to get one going int Fresno.

Garrett, how about going further north, to Redding. If I could get some more info on what it would take to get one going hear, I think are club might be interested in having an event. It sure couldn't hurt to ask.

The IMAC events in Southern and Northern California are as follows.

Modesto RC Flyer's ( Oakdale Reservoir) sometime in May

North Bay RC (Napa) IMAC Contest June 7-8

EBRC ( Livermore) IMAC Contest July 19-20

SCCMAS (Morgan Hill) IMAC Contest August 23-24 , alternate date Sept 6-7

Those are all the IMAC dates I have for nearby fields.


There will be at least one IMAC event at the Woodland/Davis field and the first should be sometime between June and July.


Were going to all the in state events we can make it to and a few in Nevada.

The SCCMAS IMAC event in Morgan Hill is scheduled for Sept 20-21 due to other aerobatics related contests on the 6&7 of Sept and in late Aug. The NCRCS (Northern California R/C Society) schedule of events should be out in the next few weeks which has most events in California listed on it, including SCAT and IMAC events. I'll try and remember to post a link once it comes out.

It looks to me like the south west will be flying SCAT contests. Some new thing I guess. Anyone have the scoop on this? No IMAC contests are scheduled in AZ at this time just SCAT contests.
