The hanger 9 330S cowling fits perfect but you will have to repaint to match the 330L trim

Would that go for a canopy as well? I have been told that the inboard wings fit from a 330S to a 330L.

I now have both the hangar 9 extra 33% 330L and 330S the wings, horizontal stabs, rudder, canopy and hatch all seem to fit both fuselages. The Extra 330S seems to weigh less. I will way it when I am done setting it up.

Hanger 9 or maybe it was Horizon told me the canopy of the 330S would not fit the 330L, doesn't matter to me at this time, because I took another expensive route, but would have like to known for sure the 330S would have worked.

I am not sure if the canopy alone from the 330S would fit the hatch for the 330L. I will check later tonight. I do know that the hatch with canopy from the 330S does fit the 330L. I ordered the 330S hatch and had to lower it to match the height of the cowling on the 330L I thought it was just a change they might have done between the L and S but now I have both the L and S and found that the replacement hatch doesn't fit either airframes without modifying the height. I haven't called Hangar 9 about it yet but plan to later this week.

hicks what was the "expensive route" you decided to go with?

Well, I am embarrassed to say, you ask so here it goes, I fell into a old 330L (cheap), the covering half stripped off and the canopy was all dented torn and beat up, after kicking around restoration, I recovered it, so I had to have a new canopy, of course they are discontinued, shopping around just couldn’t find one so I found the 88” Extreme Flight Extra 330, they don’t sell just the canopy only the hatch with canopy, no where else to turn I took a chance and ordered it, to find the hatch is much bigger in width (¼” overhang both sides) and height, (1/4” to tall) really no good way to modify, so I carefully took the canopy off to find it was to big and had to cut it up, finished looks great, no one will know. But the cost was 49.99 + 17.50 shipping; (they ask 25.00 restocking charges for returns)
Like I said embarrassed:

Well if you fell into the 330L cheap and all worked out good then its all good. Do you have any pictures of the canopy installed? I picked my Extra 330L up crashed and traded a used DX6 transmitter with one reciever. It was a great deal the damage was minor and I learned allot in the rebuild trying to keep the weight down. Plus it was my first gasser...
